Self-reflection is a beautiful thing…..

Do we do it often enough though?  Do we really know what beautiful things await on the other side?

Jeremiah 2:25, “Slow down. Take a deep breath. What’s the hurry? Why wear yourself out?…”

Did you know that “hustle & bustle” is not how we are to actually live?!  Quite the contrary to how everything is so fast-paced and hectic and now and “I needed that yesterday!”…..

So, when we STOP and take a moment to catch a breath, take a step back and reflect about what true things really should be taking up our time and what things should not be…..

One key word….CLARITY

4 Questions to Ask Yourself:

1. Where am I spending my time?

2. What am I really thinking about?

3.  What can I offer to someone else?

4. What small change can I implement today?

Part of our busy, busy, crazy, and busy schedules are due to saying “YES” to too many things and not enough “NO’s!”  So when you look at ALL of the things you “have” to do in one day, is there anything on your plate you can adjust, strip, defer, or plain out say “No more” to?!  **There’s beauty on the other side 🙂

What are your thoughts??  Are you constantly dwelling on the frustrations, sadness, stressors, anxieties or are you finding positive things to let your mind muddle on?? Your mindset is KEY to everything so what thoughts are you letting in and what thoughts are you letting take up space and energy??…. **There’s beauty on the other side 🙂

Giving to others is one of the best investments we can make.  I’m not talking about tangible things….What about words of encouragement or uplifting someone else everyday?? Pay someone a compliment, even a stranger, do a random act of kindness, or just walk around smiling at everyone…how often are you giving away to others??…..**There’s beauty on the other side 🙂

What do you know you need to change in your life? My dad is notorious for always telling me…”How do you eat an elephant?” ….One bite at a time!  So in order for self-reflection to give you the clarity you need, you also need to be patient with yourself and know that most things don’t change overnight.  So, you have to start by making small, baby size steps of change which eventually lead to a huge result you never thought was going to be possible.  Changing one small thing and starting that change TODAY….There’s beauty on the other side 🙂

Theme for today???  Oh, the beauty on the other side of self-reflection!  Without us pausing, seeing, realizing, and moving….we’ll always stay in overdrive.

Ready, set, go…..it’s November 1 today—the start of a new month is the perfect time to start a new habit.  What’s on the horizon for you?

xoxo
